Mission Statement:

About:

The National Surf League’s goal is to provide the high school student with the most unique, enjoyable platform to compete for the pride of his/her school through showcasing his surfing talents. The NSL High School Cup (formerly Red Bull Riders Cup) is the premier high school surfing tournament with 38+ schools from 8 regions nationwide competing using the National Surf League’s “Game” format in a single elimination “March-Madness” style tournament until a champion is crowned.

Teams:

Time Format:

  • Maximum 12 atheletes per team
  • 4 starters
  • 2 substitutes (in the water)
  • 6 non active reserves
  • Head coach with at least 1 assistant coach (water coach)
  • All team members must have a minumum 2.0 G.P.A.
  • Start time at 4pm after school (Unless otherwise noted, conditions permiting)
  • Entire Game spans under 2 hours
  • Standard Game format
    • 3 total periods, 2 heats per period
    • Teams alternate surfing each heat
